Bio:
b. 1996, København, Denmark
Based in Brussels, Belgium
Through weaving and photography, my work involves processes of editing and translation. I explore what gets lost and can be found in the translation from one image to another. Using material that is found online, I weave what I find anew in different patterns, while holding a tension between code-languages and daily details. By removing visual information, my work maintains an intimacy while not revealing too much.
My recent work focusses on captioning and subtitling as types of alternative text. The act of weaving the captions by hand allows for latent meanings to emerge, while questioning the dominant speeds in which images circulate.
